There’s something rather satisfying about the first hint of a change in season. Suddenly, knitwear looks appealing again, denim returns to regular rotation and getting dressed becomes an exercise in layering.
This season’s Cozy Core is less about wrapping up and more about texture. GANNI’s argyle knits bring a collegiate slant — particularly good with AGOLDE denim, loafers and a substantial bag. Cecilie Bahnsen’s sleeveless knits make an equally convincing case for layering: slip one over a crisp shirt, simple tee or even a summer dress you’re not quite ready to retire.
Then there’s Le 17 Septembre, whose refined knitwear and matching skirts offer the easiest route back into head-to-toe dressing. Wear them together for maximum polish with minimum thought, or separate the pieces and introduce denim for something more relaxed.
After months of barely-there dressing, the return of soft layers, good jeans and clothes with a little more substance feels surprisingly welcome. Cozy season, we’ve missed you.
