The Fashion Week Round up

The best shows, trends and styles to wear now from the front row.

17th September, 2024

September Fashion month is in full swing, from London to New York, Milan and Paris. Our team pick their favourite trends from the SS25 shows so far and share how to wear them now. Because who wants to wait?

New York

“New York was the perfect spring delight for me. I fell head over heels for all the sheer and lace I was seeing on the runway, at shows such as Khaite and Ulla Johnson. Meanwhile on the other end of the girly spectrum there was so much standout denim too, whether embellished or distressed. I’m a denim addict and I love that it was centre stage”. Raheel Al Roudhan, Fabric of Society Founder and CEO.

Blumarine – our go-to for stylish pants with personality - have fallen hard for the lace trend with their beige lace pants, where as Song For The Mute's black lace shirtt is a more subtle take on the lace trend. Materiel have won us over for autumn with their scarf wrap blazer, which features a dramatic (and detatchable) wrap around scarf in the lightest sheer silk. An all-season essential, our favourite denim comes as a pair – with Diesel's embellished jeans and jacket and Feng Chen Wang's painted mini skirt and cropped jacket.

London

“My allegiance to London was cemented for another season with the exquisite JW Anderson show. I lost count of the number of dresses I HAVE to have – especially the classic LBD which he completely reimagined. This season has also reminded me how fun it is to experiment with beading and pretty details – seen at Richard Quin no less, 16 Arlington and Ahluwalia”. Sandra Christensen, Head of merchandising

Look no further for the perfect little black dress, with season highlights from Blumarine, Coperni and Simkhai. Pair with cult heals from JW Anderson, of course. Take inspiration from London with a dose of beading and details adorning pretty dresses, skirts and even tailoring. Rohe's Beige Embellished Midi Skirt is emblazoned with beautiful hand-applied sequins, whilst Rejina Pyo's Beige Ayla Midi Skirt takes a more subtle approach with playful tassels along the front slit.

Milan

“When in Milan I have come to seek out a certain look from the shows. That style is classic, a bit more ladylike and often leans towards tailoring. And this season Milan didn’t disappoint – whilst still throwing in some surprises! I fell for all the pretty pastels at Ferragamo and Fendi – to name a few – and this feels so fresh. I also loved the prettiness of the dresses, get me that killer shimmery slip dress from Bottega immediately!” Poppy Zhang, Buying Assistant.

Give your wardrobe a dose of Italian flare with Aya Muse’s pistachio green full-length cardigan, an update on their signature sell-out style. Blumarine’s buttery soft leather skirt comes in an equally soft caramel colour, the perfect entry into sorbet shades.
