Team Picks: What To Shop In The Sale

These are the best of the sale, as chosen by our Fabric of Society team. Snap them up before we do!

6th June, 2024

Sales are a dangerous time for the FoS team as we snap up everything in our forever lengthening wish-lists. From timeless tailoring to trend-focused vacay essentials, these are the pieces our are adding to their shopping baskets.

Cat Macleod, Head of Buying

“This silver fringed Simkhai dress has been living permanently in my mind since I saw it during fashion week. It’s so playful yet easy to wear, I’ll be throwing it on in the city and on vacation. As I've just moved to a new city I was keen to give my wardrobe a little shake up with some new tailoring – something that makes me feel powerful (fake it ‘til you make it right?). This Samuel Gui Yang Blazer is the piece I've been looking for. It fuses menswear-inspired tailoring with soft feminine features and the colour is incredible! Last on my sale wish-list are these Y2K-influenced Blumarine Pants. These are a pair I know I will live in, like a trusty pair of jeans but that little bit more special so they’ll work for day time as well as drinks and dinner dates”.

Sandra Christensen, Head of Merchandising

Come sale time I gravitate towards pieces that feel timeless and versatile to see me through the seasons, (although it is SO tempting to be swept away by sparkles and sequins!!) and am a sucker for a great pair of jeans. This Dion Lee pair are anything but your standard jeans though. I'm in love with the bootcut shape and darts detail combined with the wear-anytime dark grey shade. They’ll work just right with these silver Piferi sandals. I’ve also jumped at buying this pink silk Asceno dress to wear all summer long. I’m seeing it work with my new Piferi heels for a wedding and flat sandals on vacation. The shade is more fun than classic black but the timeless cut means I know I’ll wear it for years to come.

Poppy Zhang, Buying Assistant

The sales are where I like to have some fun and shop a little outside of my usual style! This shorts and polo top set by cool-girl label Sporty & Rich is a fresh alternative to my usual summer cotton short/ short set. I am in love with the deep green shade too. For me sale season is also the time to seek out the sparkle – so step forwards anything by Rosantica! Their bags are so great for events and I even style them with more masculine tailoring for contrast. I’ve got my eye on the brand’s Nodi crystal bag, which is encased in a macramé cage and dusted with shimmering crystals.
