Try as we might to pause and reflect, the pressure remains at Ramadan to ensure we look and feel our best too! We spoke to three of the most stylish and successful women we know to discover what they’ll be wearing, how they approach their style during Ramadan and how they will prepare for gatherings.

Raheel Al Roudhan, CEO and founder of Fabric of Society.

“As founder of a luxury multi-brand platform I have no excuse for my style choices not to be on point! I don’t like to shop last minute, so I start to select items early on that I know will work for all our gatherings and also pieces that I know I will feel comfortable in, as I spend more time at home, reflecting and centering on what’s important. Abadia and Taller Marmo are natural choices for this time of year, and I know I will feel great and respectful in anything from those designers. I also turn to brands like Des Phemmes for matching sets that balance comfort with incredible detail. LVIR also has some beautiful sets in pastel shades which I think are a great investment – they’ll work beautifully as separates in the spring and summer.

My styling advice is sort of contradictory but here goes! Firstly, I think Ramadan is a moment to push your style choices, to lean into incredible detail and fabrics that stand out. My second piece of advice is to ensure you feel comfortable. I am often so busy, seeing a lot of family and close friends, it is so important to not feel restricted in what I am wearing! It’s all about balance I guess!”

Rani Ilmi, Founder of FRAME Publicity

"Ramadan collections can sometimes be too glitzy and gold for me. Born and raised in Dubai, I really don't feel this is a fair style reflection of the season - we wear gold year round - so I don't need Ramadan to be as blingy as our wedding season!

I focus on luxe fabrics for instant elevation - silks, soft satins, fun embroidery - and interesting silhouettes. I love the shape of THAT signature Ganni blazer during Ramadan for example, to move away from the 'all kaftan'  Ramadan aesthetic. I also LOVE brights this month, as I'm allergic to the beige-ification of everything.

I look for modest layering – lighter iterations from cooler, younger brands like JW Anderson and Magda Butrym are always top of my list for Ramadan.

I also love a statement oversized floral earring and feel like we can really go all out with fun, non-traditional accessories in Ramadan. A lot of things I'd typically save for high summer - those oversized earrings you'd wear in Ibiza in July? I wear them during Ramadan to make outfits a little more lively!"

Dina Adlouni, Brand and Creative Consultant

"For Ramadan, I love outfits that feel effortless and elegant. Fabric of Society has my go to brands for the occasion, with modern cuts and perfect fits that make dressing up so easy.

For nights out and Suhoor gatherings, I always go for flowy kaftans and chic modest dresses from Abadia, her pieces are beautifully made, with the best quality and most flattering fits. During the day, tailored sets from Samuel Guì Yang are my favorite, they’re elegant and perfect for work meetings. And when I’m at home or out for a walk in the park, I wear the comfiest Sporty & Rich sets.Sometimes, when I’m in between plans, I’ll just throw a blazer over sweatpants, and it’s super fun!

For me, it’s all about the little details and how I put pieces together depending on my mood, as long as it’s always speaking chic."
