Plus one with Shushu/Tong
8th May, 2024
There’s always a time for flowers, frills and all the embellishment, and no brand on Fabric of Society does it better. ShuShu/Tong walks the line between impeccable cuts and tactile fabrics transformed with just the right amount of details. These are our top picks and how we’ll be wearing them this season, from celebration and weddings to dinner dates.
The lady-like jacket
This short jacket by Shushu/Tong has been fought over (via email) in the FoS office, and it's understandable. We just can’t get enough of the different ways you can wear it. Ideal for when you need a modest option but don’t want to dial it down on the details and style index, or for when you want to contrast and elevate a simpler casual look – think denim and a white tank. Its gently cropped length means it never looks bulky, whilst its 3D flower details (a signature design detail of the label) is a sure-fire conversation starter.
The LBD
Invites stacking up for a season of weddings and parties? Hard life, but at least we’ve fOund your go-to investment dress of the summer. Whimsical, fun and frothy – Shushu/Tong’s take on the little black dress balances elegance with youth and playfulness. Its double layered tutu-inspired skirt contrasts the lady-like bow details around the neck. Keep it cool with studded black ballet pumps from Wandler or sugary sweet towering pink heels from Gia Borghini.
Not your classic skirt
All skirts need to be as pretty as this flower embellished pencil skirt from ShuShu/Tong from now on. Wear with the brand’s matching yellow tank top for more formal settings or with a simple tank or white T to contrast the feminine flower detail. Crafted from 100% cotton it’ll keep you elegantly cool even on the warmest of evenings, whilst still being lined for a flawless look. The skirt commands heels and our favourites are by Paris Texas, adding just a little edge to the lady-like skirt.
