Her current collection ‘From Bollywood to Nollywood’, transports the wearer to Indian, Nigeria and back to London, both seamlessly and beautifully.
Throughout her collections though, as far and wide as the inspiration spans, the distinctive detail of the ‘Ahluwalia wave’ is almost always ever-present. A sweeping pattern that swirls across designs, often in another fabric or finish, it adds an elegant and organic fluidity to the brands pieces. As fitting on tailoring as trackpants, the design detail is instantly recognisable.
This season, the pattern plays out boldly in over-size across a hero trench coat – its jolt of vivid red adding instant modernity.
